Freedom....

How does one feel when come across such a delightful word in English ? It has brought tears to people who waited for that...whether in case of independence as in case of our motherland India or relief as in most cases be it completion of examination, getting into hostel (away from family shackles), or as in any other case left to pure interpretation of any human brain.

I felt relieved today. Why ? I got freedom from boredom. Having been home for close to two months not doing much, today, I finally got into a place which I dreamed of not too long ago. It was always our dream during our Master's days to get into abode of computer networking company and that too the pioneer in providing networking equipment and network management for internet. Yes, I am talking about Cisco. My dream came true. I started working for Cisco as a software engineer today. Looking forward to having a good career ahead.

Thanks Jay. When you said "all of us"...did you mean just three of you or was it also shared among others in Cerner ? I had few good negotiations with Cisco that drove me to that decision. Will keep you posted as to what they were. :-)

Congrats Kiran..u had hit the Bulls Eye :) u took a risk of leaving job in India and doing P.hd. this is a good example that you should take (some times) risk in life. But u should also have confidence n determination. i think these are the two things which drive u to success.
